Who we are.
We believe in God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to save the world from the power of sin and death and to give us the privilege and joy of living with the presence of God in our lives.
Our story.
The Nidaros Lutheran Congregation was chartered in the sod home of Norwegian immigrants John and Kirsti Thompson on August 12, 1868. In 1866 two Union Soldier veterans, John Thompson and Jonas Nelson, had come to Minnehaha County in Dakota Territory with their families to be the first homesteaders in the county and among the first in the territory.
